EcoNet Blog is all about how Supply Chains will cope with changes brought on by resource depletion, ever increasing regulation of hazardous and raw materials and corporate social responsibility expectations that are becoming essentially a “license to operate”.
The blog’s purpose is to understand and anticipate the “perfect storm” that is developing between corporations short term core business expectations and those of its long term evironmental sustainability obligations. The blog will also explore the transformation from linear Supply Chains into multi-tier Demand Supply Networks and how the emergence of SaaS platforms are accelrating this change. This blog is not meant to be a commercial for E2open nor any other Supply Chain service provider but rather is meant to shed light on how businesses are changing by becoming more “asset light”, more brand focused and product IP centric. The blog will highlight how companies such as E2open are responding to these chanllenges but it is open to all companies to particiapte and collaborate. We welcome your thoughts.
